These two meet Goku in Octagon Village, which is also where Oolong grew up.  Goku confuses both of them for Oolong.

Goku leaves Chi-Chi and Fortuneteller Baba at the Bansho Spa so they can relax.  Baba convinces Chi-Chi to join her in the springs but before she can undress, the change room is crushed by the weight of pigs including Jasmine and Oonaan trying to peek at her through gaps in the structure.  All the inhabitants of Octagon Village have a large perverted streak.

Goku discovers the likeness of the Bansho Fan at the bottom of the spa.  He removes it, which drains the spring revealing instructions on how to make the Bansho Fan.

Jasmine’s name is derived from Jasmine Tea.  Oonaan’s comes from Yunnan Tea.
